About

While building Begin Communications (originally Inkwell Designs), founder, CEO, and President Jaylyn Bergner spent three years serving as the sole proposal and corporate editor and public relations coordinator for AMTI (later acquired by SAIC), a government contracting company. During this time, her work garnered high visibility from a number of prominent customers you might have heard of: the FBI, CIA, Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, Department of Defense, and Defense Threat Reduction Agency, just to name a few. This allowed Jaylyn to delve into the technical side of writing and fine-tune her grammarian skills, making her the most sought-after editor in a company of 40,000 employees! Amalgamating this experience with Jaylyn’s thirteen years as a professional and published creative writer provide a unique marriage of the right- and left-brain sides of the profession—a handy trait when dealing with a wide range of clients, and their varying requests.

Before moving to Virginia Beach and joining the AMTI family, she worked as the public relations manager and event planner for BVT, one of the top entertainment companies in Philadelphia, a challenge that required her to find unique and effective ways to reach potential clients. In such a large metropolis, it seemed that every idea had been exhausted. Using her background in communication studies, Jaylyn produced exciting marketing tools and events that tilted the spotlight in the company’s direction, catching the eye of high-level figures in the tristate area. For example, only two years after her move to Virginia, Jellyroll, the organization’s flagship band, enjoyed the honor and privilege of receiving a personal call from First Lady Laura Bush requesting its performance at the 2007 White House Christmas Party.

Currently, Jaylyn oversees all the social media PR for the Green Train Project , a 28-state concert with A-list musicians promoting natural resource conservation. Additionally, she serves as the president of WOW (World of Women), a group fostering networking and growth–spiritually, mentally, professionally–for women.

In her free time, Jaylyn works on her novel, plays with her gigantic monster of a puppy, and goes wakeboarding.
